FINCA LOS SALTOS


We are offering for sale a property situated in the mountains overlooking San Juanillo and Marbella, about 3 km. as the crow flies from the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.

Situated midway between the villages of Alemania and Palmares, it comprises 64.5 hectares, and is bordered on one side by 1.5 km of public road, and on the other side by 1.5 km. of riverfront, Quebrada Los Saltos.

The most unique feature of this property are the numerous waterfalls and swimming holes located around the farm. About 15 - 20% of the farm is buildable ocean view and another 50% buildable with beautiful mountain and valley views. Although there are neighbors nearby, none of them are visible from anywhere in the finca.

The feature that sets this property apart from all others is the river and gorges on the southern border. There are numerous waterfalls and swimming holes, with the most spectacular being the one shown to the right. The falls in the slideshow are almost 9 meters high, and the pool below is 6 meters deep, 15 meters wide, and 20 meters long. The air temperature here is 15F degrees cooler than the beach, making this a great place to escape the heat. The river runs all year round, and even at the end of the dry season, there is no algae in the pool.

The setting is very private since public access from up or downstream is hampered by distance and difficult terrain. The only easy access is through the farm. This property is truly a rare and unique; ideal for an eco development, holistic, meditation center or an incredible private estate.

Electricity is now only 200 mts. from the farm. Hydropower is also a viable option due to the steep drop in the canyon above the falls, and abundant water. We are asking $5 per sq. meter if sold entirely, or we will divide it and sell parcels for $10 per sq. meter. The property is held by an S.A. and a stock purchase is possible to simplify ownership transfer, and reduce closing costs. We will provide copies of the plano catastro at your request.
